“2012 Scratch Card” (the “Promotion”)

OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS (“RULES”)

Participation in the Promotion constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance by each participant of the Rules, which are final on all matters relating to the Promotion.

The Promotion is available to residents of Canada, other than residents of Quebec. Prizes may be redeemed at Old House Village Hotel & Spa (hereafter OHV) in Courtenay, BC.

1. START AND END DATE:

The Promotion begins at 12:01 a.m. PST on January 1, 2012 (“Promotion Start Date”), and ends at 11:59pm PST on December 31, 2013 (“Promotion End Date”) or when all prizes have been claimed.

2. PRIZES:

All Prizes must be accepted by a winning participant as awarded, and cannot be exchanged or substituted or combined with any other offer. Scratch cards are not redeemable for cash or credit in part or whole. The Prizes are as described below and as revealed on the scratched area of a Scratch Card.

If a participant scratches off a scratch area and a Prize is revealed the holder of the card will then become eligible, on fulfilment of all the conditions in these Rules, to receive the indicated Prize. Further Prize details and chances of winning are as follows:

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

To participate, complete a Scratch Card in person at the OHV Front Desk witnessed by Staff. Only original Scratch Cards are valid. No duplicates, copies or facsimiles.

4. AWARDING OF PRIZES:

Scratch Cards for the Promotion will be randomly distributed by Hotel Staff at promotional events throughout the Promotion Period. The Scratch Card area, if scratched, will reveal the Prizes described in the Scratch Area. All Participants must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill testing question to be eligible to receive the Prize revealed on the Scratch Card.

All winning Scratch Cards are subject to verification and are void if faulty, altered, or tampered with in any way. Any participant with a Scratch Card who fails to satisfy the applicable Rules to receive a Prize will be ineligible to receive the Prize.

Any Prize not claimed during the Promotion Period will be void.

5. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Promotion. To receive a Scratch Card, and/or a copy of the Rules visit OHV or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to 1730 Riverside Lane, Courtenay, BC V9N 8C7. 6. DISTRIBUTION OF SCRATCH CARDS:

The majority of Scratch Cards will be randomly distributed by Hotel Staff at promotional events throughout the Promotion Period. Additional Scratch Cards will be distributed by mail, upon request containing a self-addressed stamped envelope, until all Scratch Cards have been distributed, while supplies last.

7. ELIGIBILITY:

The Promotion is open to legal residents of Canada, other than residents of Quebec, who are of the age of majority in their respective Province or Territory of residence. The Promotion is NOT open to employees, representatives or agents of OHV, its subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, advertising and Promotion agents, and members of their respective families and persons with whom they are domiciled.

8. STANDARD AGREEMENTS.

Each winning participant choosing to become a guest of Old House Village Hotel & Spa and to thereafter redeem their Prize will be required to enter into the standard written Registration Agreement. Any winning participant's right to receive the above-noted Prizes (other than the Oh Spa Hydrotherapy Tub Treatment Prize) is subject to his/her signing the applicable agreement as presented. If a winning participant refuses to enter into such an agreement, as presented, the Prize voucher will be void.

9. RELEASE.

By redeeming a Prize, Participant releases OHV and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, licensees, advertising and other agents, of and from any and all claims whatsoever which Participant, Participant’s heirs, estate trustees or other personal legal representatives or assigns, have or may have arising out of or in any way related to the Promotion and/or the Prize.

10. GENERAL RULES:

All Scratch Cards become the sole property of OHV. The Promotion is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. All incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to herein, including but not limited to taxes, (other than GST and PST or HST where applicable which are included in a prize), are the sole responsibility of winners. OHV reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value and/or to terminate, modify or withdraw the Promotion, in whole or in part at any time, without prior notice for any reason including errors or other causes beyond OHV’s control which affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Promotion. OHV reserves the right to disqualify any person who it believes has failed to abide by the Promotion Rules and conditions. OHV is not responsible for theft, defects, and human errors including negligence, which may result in the failure of OHV to award the Prize. OHV will not enter into correspondence or discussion with any participant. Any litigation must be commenced in the City of Courtenay, British Columbia.
